La Escuela de Teatro busca un/a profesional con grado de doctor/a que demuestre experiencia reciente y relevante en el campo de la Performance, con experiencia en investigación basada en la práctica, y con capacidad para enseñar en pregrado y postgrado. Se espera una persona con una trayectoria reconocida en el ámbito de la creación y con la capacidad de generar investigación/creación relevante y de frontera en su campo.

El/la postulante deberá contar con una sólida y reconocida trayectoria internacional, cuyas calificaciones en investigación y docencia se reflejen en su producción artística y/o investigativa. Debe tener un compromiso con los aprendizajes de las y los estudiantes e interés por el diálogo interdisciplinario, y por contribuir al fortalecimiento del área del Performance en la Escuela de Teatro y de la Metodología de la Práctica como Investigación en la Facultad de Artes, comprometiéndose con establecer vínculos al interior de la Escuela de Teatro y con desempeñar un papel central en desarrollar vínculos con Universidades, Centros de Investigación y otras instituciones relevantes en el área de las Artes Escénicas y el Performance. Además, debe tener un interés profundo por articular su proyección académica y artística con los planes estratégicos determinados por la Escuela de Teatro, la Facultad de Artes y la Universidad en general.

Se espera que el/la Académico/a esté disponible para cumplir tareas de gestión en varios niveles, en particular para liderar grupos de investigación, desempeñarse en cargos de representación y, eventualmente, asumir responsabilidades relacionadas con la dirección, subdirección académica, jefatura de investigación o de programas en la Escuela de Teatro y en la Facultad de Artes. El/la postulante debe poseer habilidades avanzadas de comunicación oral y escrita y se considerará positivamente la capacidad de liderazgo, proactividad, y habilidades de trabajo en equipo.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Theater Department is looking for a candidate with a Ph.D. degree and verifiable, relevant, and recent experience in the field of Performance, specifically in PaR. The candidate should also be capable of teaching both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; they should have a proven record in the field of artistic creation and be able to generate relevant and cutting-edge research/creation in their area.

The applicant must have a solid international career, and their qualifications in research and teaching should be reflected in their artistic and/or research production. They must be committed to their teaching work and pedagogical skills, show a strong interest in interdisciplinary dialogue, and contribute to strengthening the area of Performance studies and practice in the Theatre Department and, more widely, in the field of Practice as Research within the Faculty of Arts. The applicant should be committed to establishing links with faculty, students, and researchers in the Theatre Department and play a key role in developing relations with Universities, Research Centers, and other relevant institutions in the area of Performing Arts. Moreover, they must be sincerely interested in aligning their academic and artistic endeavors with the strategic plan conjointly determined by the Theatre Department, the Faculty of Arts, and the University.

The candidate is expected to be available for different administrative responsibilities, such as leading working and research groups, serving as a representative in meetings and other events, and eventually, assuming different management-related positions, such as chair of research, chair or vice-chair of the Faculty of Arts and/or the Theatre Department. The applicant must have excellent communication skills in Spanish (oral and written), and other abilities such as leadership, proactivity, and teamwork will be positively regarded.
